What are LF & MH for Crawler PPM settings ?

Beitragvon Cyrille37 » So Apr 03, 2016 2:29 pm

Hi,

I did not find documentation about LF and MH for Crawler PPM settings at /Crawler_p.html.
Could someone explains a bit please ?

Thanks a lot.

I found full words (but not yet meaning ;-) )
    * PPM: Pages par minute
    * LF: Latency Factor
    * MH: Max Same Host InQueue
I do not yet know if need to growing or reduce values to loading or relieve the server

well, these values are experimental and there is no general answer on "reduce or increase" bacause it depends on the behaviour of the target server.
Some servers may need a throttling to prevent that they are overloaded and they may work better if the latency is increased. Some may not need that and it works better if the latency is decreased. Just try out what works best for you and the target servers.

Thanks @Orbiter

If I well understand, to be fairest with crawled servers I've to grow LF (Latency Factor) and down MH (Max same Host in queue), that's it ??
